Supported Platforms and Requirements

FEMtools is available in native versions for Windows and most popular UNIX and Linux engineering platforms.

All versions are functionally identical with a uniform user interface (GUI) on every supported platform. To ensure optimal performance, all versions are native ports of a common source code.

Following are minimum configurations for systems that can run FEMtools:

Windows

Windows XP, Vista, 7, 2003, 2008 (32-bit)

General Requirements

Minimum 250 MB free hard disk space
A graphics card that support OpenGL. The graphics performance will be better if the graphics card supports hardware accelerated OpenGL.
CD-ROM drive
A USB port or parallel printer port (for node-locked license option)
A TCP/IP connection (for floating license option)
Adobe Acrobat Reader (for reading online documentation)
